The former Great Britain prop was already scheduled to take over from the Australian at the Galpharm Stadium for 2013 following a three-and-a-half year apprenticeship, but now faces the prospect of trying to outfox his current boss.

"He's a very, very good bloke and a great coach. His man management, the way he handles people is very good and the things he's done for me as a coach has been second to none.

"It's been a real privilege to have worked with him, he's obviously taken me to the next stage," Anderson said.

Brown has been gradually handing more responsibility over to Anderson, who was left to face the media at the Giants' weekly press conference on Tuesday.
