EHL: Panthers crush CapsNottingham romp to ninth shut-out of season in final home fixture
Craig Kowalski: Recorded a 22-shot shut-out on home ice Nottingham Panthers marked their final home league fixture of the season with a crushing 7-0 victory over Edinburgh Capitals. After already guaranteeing a third-place finish in the Rapid Solicitors Elite League standings, Panthers posted a ninth shut-out of the season against the hapless Capitals. As well as goaltender Craig Kowalski posting a 22-shot shut-out, Matt Francis netted himself a hat-trick, with Sami Ryhanan chipping in with 1+4. It also saw Panthers record their sixth straight win on home ice, whilst Edinburgh suffered their eighth straight loss on the road. As a result Hull have qualified for the play-offs with the final spot now being between Edinburgh and Dundee. |
