The reigning world champion edged out Chevrolet team-mate Robert Huff to win race one, while he was victorious in race two despite spinning after being involved in a clash.

The SEAT Leon of home favourite Gabriele Tarquini started the first race on pole and exchanged the lead with Muller on lap two before the French driver took advantage of his rival running wide into the chicane the following lap to take the lead, which he did not relinquish as Tarquini could only finish third.

Muller won race two despite spinning after being involved in a four-car clash which also affected Huff and Tarquini on the first corner of lap two.

The Italian was the only car forced to park up, though, with Muller recovering to take a second win ahead of Alain Menu with Huff third.
