Pulis upset with just a pointStoke boss does not want his team's season to fizzle out
Tony Pulis: Stoke manager felt his team could have taken more than a point from Aston Villa Stoke City manager Tony Pulis was disappointed to come away with only a point from Villa Park after his side came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw. Andreas Weimann's stunning curler had given Villa a half-time lead before Robert Huth's goal inside the final 20 minutes earned Stoke a point. The draw followed on from a 2-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday and Pulis was upset not to take maximum points from the Easter programme. "We've come and had a good go," Pulis, whose side were playing in the Europa League earlier in the season, told Sky Sports. "It's our 51st game of the season and we've played our second game in three days. Magnificent"I thought the lads were magnificent and give it everything, and I'm a little bit disappointed as I think we had the better chances in the game." The result kept Stoke in 12th position in the table, but only a point away from eighth spot and Pulis is determined his side will not let their season fizzle out. He said: "We've six games left and we've a responsibility to try and get as many points as we possibly can and finish in the top half of the Premiership. "I think we've done absolutely fantastic. Sometimes the players - especially from me - don't get the credit they deserve. "We're not ones for blowing smoke up our own backsides."
