Williams drivers confidentSenna and Maldonado feeling good for Shanghai
Bruno Senna and Pastor Maldonado: Confident of another good weekend in China Bruno Senna and Pastor Maldonado head to China full of confidence after Williams performed strongly in Malaysia. The team showed good pace throughout the weekend as they continue to battle back from the worst season in their history in 2011. Both cars were running in the points with two laps to go before Maldonado's race came to an agonising end with an engine failure. However, Senna was able to finish sxith after starting 13th on the grid. Keen to emerge from the shadow of his uncle Aryton, Senna is looking for another strong result in Shanghai. "The car is performing well and showing strong pace so I am confident about our chances in China," the Brazilian said. "I have not raced there for two years so I will have to work hard to re-learn the track, but I have good memories of the circuit because it has a good mix of high speed and low speed corners and good overtaking opportunities. "I had a good race in Malaysia and hopefully I can continue that form in Shanghai." PointsAfter retiring during the closing stages of the opening two rounds of championship this season, Maldonado is hoping to finally pick up some points. "Shanghai is one of my favourite circuits on the calendar so I am really looking forward to the race," he said. "The circuit has a nice combination of slow and medium speed corners and good sequences that are fun to drive. It is also very challenging because it is difficult to get close to the car in front to take advantage of the long DRS zone. "We have shown good pace in the first two races and hopefully we can continue to improve here and pick up some points."
