Raynor has a point to proveFormer GB winger set to tackle Wigan
Gareth Raynor: Is set to come into the Rovers side to face Wigan Former Great Britain winger Gareth Raynor will "have a point to prove" when giant-killing Featherstone face Challenge Cup holders Wigan in the fifth round. Raynor, who was a cup winner with Hull in 2005, joined Featherstone on a 12-month deal after he was sacked by Bradford Bulls for a breach of club discipline. The 34-year-old is yet to make his Rovers debut, though, after taking time out of the game. However the former Leeds, Hull, Crusaders and Bradford winger will get a chance to face the Warriors after Tangi Ropati was ruled out for up to three months with a broken jaw sustained in last Saturday's defeat of Castleford. CommitRaynor is poised to make his Rovers debut in Sunday's Championship match at Swinton, a week before the big cup-tie with Wigan. "We gave him a bit of time away just to clear his head and make sure he could fully commit," said Featherstone coach Daryl Powell. "I think he's ready to do that so it's over to him now. He's a strong chance of slotting in there on the wing. "And he's got a point to prove. He's come back into the club looking to get into the team and show us what he's got. He'll get an opportunity to do that this weekend."
