Aces buy SchleinAustralian completes permanent dealRory Schlein: Has been bought by Belle Vue (Pic credit Mike Hivnes) Belle Vue Aces have made Rory Schlein a permanent asset after paying an undisclosed fee to Coventry Bees. The Australian spent last season on-loan at the Manchester giants and was a huge success, which included him winning the Elite League Riders' Championship. He had already agreed to spend this season with The Aces, but the 27-year-old has now finalised a permanent move to the club. "Rory had made it clear he wanted to be a Belle Vue rider, Coventry were in a position to accept that and they dealt with the situation in a very professional manner," said Belle Vue boss David Gordon. "It was a very easy negotiation. Rory was delighted when we told him. "It can only be good for the sport that transfers can be agreed in an amicable manner without the need for arbitration which would have been inconvenient for everyone concerned." DelightSchlein added: "I was keen to further my career with Belle Vue. "It was a feeling that grew during last year because I was having a good season on the track and I developed a good relationship with David Gordon, Chris Morton and team manager Jim Lynch." |
