Berbizier's vote of confidenceRacing president insists sporting director will remain
Pierre Berbizier: Has the backing of Racing Metro president Jacky Lorenzetti Racing Metro president Jacky Lorenzetti has confirmed that Pierre Berbizier will remain as sporting director next season. The former France and Italy coach has endured a troubled time at the Parisians - with the sacking of assistant coach Simon Mannix seeing Berbizier clash with the players. France forward Sebastien Chabal also left in the aftermath of the fall-out - however Berbizier has retained Lorenzetti's support throughout. And when asked whether Berbizier would be at Racing next season, Lorenzetti said: "Without hesitation I say yes. Complicated"Pierre Berbizier will be sports director, without doubt with enlarged responsibilities, and I for sure will also be president." While Lorenzetti remains confident Berbizier will be at the club, he is less than sure over Lionel Nallet's future. The former France captain is out of contract in the summer and has been linked to a move to Lyon. "It is a complicated story which was simple to start with as Lionel had given us his word (to extend his contract) and afterwards he went back on his decision," he said. "We plan to see him next week to discuss the matter."
