Saracens were eliminated from last year's competition by the French club with a 24-14 loss, although now come into their meeting as Aviva Premiership champions.

The Vicarage Road club have strengthen since last meeting in January 2011 and King believes Clermont know what to expect.

King has pinpointed the likes of Owen Farrell and Charlie Hodgson as ones to watch, although he is also aware of their South African influence, which includes John Smit and Schalk Brits.

Improvement

"For four years Saracens have improved, they won the Premiership last season defeating Leicester in final. They've hired a lot this season and now they're aiming to win the European Cup," King told L'Equipe.

"We know what to expect. There are players who have blossomed on international level as Owen Farrell and Charlie Hodgson and the South Africans. They are well balanced, it is a real challenge to us, but I believe we can make it.

"Last season's win at Vicarage Road? It won't be the same this time."
