The challenger was forced to pull out of the April 13 date with a chest infection but he has been given an extra fortnight to recover.

John Watson (rib) and top amateur Matty Cardle (knee) had also picked up minor injuries and will also benefit from the extra time off.

"Illness and injury cannot be helped and it's unfortunate as both Tony and Danny have been training hard for the fight," said show promoter Dave Coldwell.

"I'm sure Danny will be ready and in great shape on April 27, and it promises to be a great evening with a cracking card lined up."
