22:42 Garcia to 'just play' |
Garcia to 'just play'Spaniard bogeys 18 to slip back to four underSergio Garcia: Could this be his major week at last? Sergio Garcia is keeping his expectations in check after he joined the pack of leading players on four under at the halfway stage of the Masters. The 32-year-old Spaniard, who is still seeking his first major title, carded an impressive 68 but he was one of many players to suffer on the 18th, making bogey for the second day running after hitting his second shot into the crowd. He had earlier posted six birdies and only one other bogey at the ninth - a hole he also slipped up on during his level-par 72 on Thursday. "I think I played nicely, although there were a couple of shots that I would have liked to have hit a bit better," said Garcia. "There's probably about two or three holes out there that I dislike quite a bit and I don't feel comfortable playing them. But other than that I felt like it was good. "It's a tough golf course. We probably got the worst of the draw with the wind and the weather. There are so many mud balls out there and on a course where you need to be so precise when you have mud balls it just becomes that much tougher. "I'm just going to go out there and play at the weekend. I'll try to shoot another two good rounds and see where it puts me." |
