O'Driscoll to call it a dayMunster second-row to retire at the end of current campaign
Mick O'Driscoll: Will hang up his boots at the end of the season Veteran Munster lock Mick O'Driscoll has announced that he will retire at the end of the current season. The 33-year-old has played over 200 competitive games for the Irish province since making his debut in August 1998. He captained the Munster side that narrowly lost out to New Zealand in the first match at the redeveloped Thomond Park in 2008. O'Driscoll is also a former Ireland international, winning a total of 23 caps for his country since his debut in 2001. He has played in 55 Heineken Cup matches for Munster and seven for Perpignan during a two-year spell at the French side between 2003 and 2005.
