Titans trio stay onCahill, Homan and Kirwan commit to stay at Clifton Lane
Rotherham Titans: Bolstered their campaign for next season by re-signing Shane Cahill, Peter Homan and Carl Kirwan Championship outfit Rotherham Titans have been handed a boost with the news Shane Cahill, Peter Homan and Carl Kirwan have re-signed for next season. Cahill, a loosehead prop, has enjoyed a successful first season at Clifton Lane, making 23 appearances, while wing/centre Homan has featured 12 times, scoring one try. Back-rower Kirwan has made 16 appearances, notching three tries and Titans coach Andre Bester views his retention as "massive." He told the club's official website: "Carl is a huge talent and is capable of achieving great things within the game. X-Factor"His speed and power give him the X-Factor and his attitude is fantastic. "Without doubt he can be one of the best back row forwards in the game and he could go all the way to the top. "It's a coup for Rotherham and we are looking forward to working closely with Carl next season." As regards Homan, Bester said: "Pete has all the attributes to be an important player for us. He needs to continue working hard and take his opportunities when they arrive. "Pete has the potential to be a major player in the Championship next season and we are looking forward to working with him further." Bester also thinks Cahill can improve, saying: "We believe if he continues to work hard and develop his game, he can be an extremely dominant loose head prop in the Championship next season."
